The Mindful Classroom Intercultural Seminar: Introduction to Mindfulness Skills, Techniques and Strategies for Teachers
This program is designed for participants to be able to adapt and implement mindfulness skills and strategies in a variety of school settings. There is a wealth of scientific research on the benefits of mindfulness in education. It also offers teachers an opportunity to grow personally by supporting their own well-being. The seminar follows two well researched and engaging skills based programs from the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation* called Mindfulness: Finding Peace in a Frantic World and Dr. Christopher Willard’s Growing Up Mindful.
Participants will explore through experiential learning and conceptual understanding(neuroscience) what Mindfulness is and how to use different practices in lessons effectively that supports the overall wellbeing of students and improves concentration and focus.
