About the event

Status: Seminar is CONFIRMED (participants of different nationalities and minimum number of participants reached)

This workshop is designed to give participants an insight into all aspects of film production. Conception, production and editing will be taught without any previous knowledge, technical hurdles will be kept low by working only with tablet and smartphone and the available apps.

The goal is to get to know the medium of film as a tool for teaching content through theory input and practical tasks.

Create cinematic teaching content to present the subject matter to your students in an interesting new way or let your students produce film projects on teaching topics - the medium of film enriches modern teaching and has a positive effect on the transfer of knowledge and social interaction.

The Algarve as the location for the workshop provides you with a perfect stage and scope for realizing your first film projects with your own mobile devices in practical tasks.  Prerequisites are an interest in film, basic knowledge of digital media, and a willingness to work in groups in a practice-oriented manner.

The seminar lasts 48 hours and consists of theoretical and practical units. In addition, there is a constant exchange of specialist knowledge. In addition to plenary sessions, discussions in small groups and joint workshops, individual working groups will develop and present film projects. Individual consultations and an accompanying program to culturally significant places in the Algarve complete the seminar week. At the end, a certificate will attest to participation.

The course language is English - trainers and course providers also speak German.

The seminar will take place at the 4-star Hotel AGUA RIVERSIDE LAGOA Quinta Do Parchal (Algarve) in Portugal (subject to change).  The course fees are 580€, the cost for the stay in a single room with full board is 896€. The total costs are usually fully subsidized by the EU.
