Our school needs to become more international! The focus of this seminar is therefore on fundamental questions: How do I internationalize my school? How do I make the most of the Erasmus potential for my school? How can I use digital media sensibly and effectively in the context of intercultural project management?

This course focuses on how to successfully initiate, develop and implement intercultural projects with learners and school staff. The course is designed to address all school staff (teachers, educators, Erasmus coordinators, school management, administration) as well as all school types and age groups of learners (from elementary school to vocational school).

To this end, you will first gain a comprehensive insight into the status quo of Erasmus opportunities for schools in order to exploit the full potential for learners, teachers and schools. We will give you an insight into what possibilities are available in addition to student mobility, job shadowing for teachers and school partnerships as well as further training, long-term stays, internships or invitations to experts.

The seminar gives you the opportunity to network with other teachers at European level, plan joint projects with learners and try them out in practice so that future school partnerships can be initiated and implemented.

We will introduce you to a variety of digital apps and browser-based tools that you can use to support projects with media and implement them innovatively.

The focus is on the following areas:

  1. Erasmus+ expertise: imparting practical know-how for successful Erasmus+ projects, from application to implementation.
  2. International Networking: Supporting schools in establishing international partnerships and promoting intercultural skills.
  3. Digital media in intercultural projects: Demonstrate innovative ways in which digital media can be used to initiate and manage intercultural projects with students.
  4. Interdisciplinary approach: Combining intercultural competences with project management skills to provide teachers with a wide range of tools and approaches.
  5. Practice-oriented training: Offer practical exercises and examples so that the acquired knowledge can be put directly into school practice.
  6. Future orientation: Equip teachers with skills to prepare students for an interconnected and globalized world by giving them the skills for intercultural collaboration and digital innovation.

The Algarve, our picturesque workshop location, provides you with a perfect stage and sample opportunities to realize your first intercultural projects during practical tasks. Throughout this seminar, participants will immerse themselves in the Erasmus universe and explore its limitless possibilities in diverse cultural and educational contexts.

Prerequisites are an interest in intercultural exchange, an interest in working with digital media and a willingness to work in groups in a practice-oriented manner. Digital tools for communication, creative media production and international provision will be tested and applied in practice.

Individual consultations and an extensive accompanying and cultural program to culturally significant places in the Algarve complete the seminar week.

At the end of the event, you will receive an ERASMUS certificate confirming your participation in the seminar.

The seminar language is English, but the trainer speaks also German and is sensitive to any potential low level of participant’s English language skills.

The seminar lasts 48 hours and consists of theoretical and practical units, as well as a constant exchange of specialist knowledge. In addition to plenary sessions, discussions in small groups and joint workshops, individual working groups will develop and present their own media projects. You will also have plenty of free time outside of the seminar program to enjoy the benefits of the Algarve.
